Dr. Eleanor Slifer (1900-1986) was a faculty member in the Department of Zoology, University of Iowa and a member of the Entomology Department at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia. Dr. Slifer’s groundbreaking work with insect chemoreceptors lead to over 100 published papers in professional journals. This collection dates from 1928 to 1980 and contains handwritten notes, illustrations, manuscripts and galley proofs relating to a number of Dr. Slifer's published papers....
